Quite right, they might be Jewish already, in which case conversion is a moot point........Also, the degree of resistance to inter- religious marriage declines with the affiliation. Conservative Jews care less than Orthodox, and Reform Jews hardly care at all......I doubt that Reconstructionists care (not that that there are terribly many). ......
