Prayer in schools....the problem here is illustrated in our community in the Washington, DC, suburbs....my kids attended elementary and high school with children from 40+ countries and who knows how many different religions. What kind of prayer should be employed in a situation like this without alienating huge numbers of people?

I personally favor use of the time for academic subjects...and there seems to be much less time devoted to academics because of other extraneous things which have been inserted into the school curriculum by a variety of forces ranging from cultural to parental to political.....including something locally referred to as(don't grin) "FLE".... or family life education (translated, that means sex education.)
