Well Chuca, I really don't know what to say. I think this one will be played like "Who wants to be a millionaire?"

The company will have to answer several important questions and if they get the right answers the shareholders will do very well.

Just how much PMs are in the sediments below the tar sands?

Just how much of that which is there can be extracted and at what cost?

The area is huge, the potential tonnage is huge and the overburden will be removed by others as the tar sands are processed.

"Athabasca - Prairie Gold

In July, 1999, Birch Mountain released results of electron imaging and x-ray studies in which gold, platinum and palladium and other precious metals were reported by more than ten laboratories in Canada, the U.S.A. and South Africa. At the same time we released the results of in-house and external geochemical and modified fire assays showing up to 6 g/t gold, 11 g/t platinum and 1.9 g/t palladium in bulk sample BJ98-008, for which standard lead fire assay reports trace gold and palladium and no platinum. Conclusive electron imaging proves the presence of gold, platinum and palladium in important quantities in rocks from Athabasca. We have concluded that the discrepancies between standard methods and our results reflect inadequacies of the standard methods, not the absence of precious metals."
