I wonder sometimes, and maybe OZ can answer this, do the people who trade in those shops stay late and research or do they just go home and come in flying sort of blind in the morning.

KM

Many do and many do not. I am always the first one there but
I leave early and research at home unless I want to do some
Instinet plays on news after the bell. People in my office
that have similar trading styles to mine (or want to) have
moved over by me and we have all had our biggest results
to date in the last few weeks. In the near future I will
trade both at home and at the office as well as various
offices around the country. Ultimately we might form some
kind of real time audio network with each other and trade
from the home. That has the best of both worlds.
I kind of agree with you about posting on SI. It has become
a distraction for me and I post less. The same happened
with Steve months back. (where is Alan by the way. Have not
heard from since the party in New York).

OZ

PS. At my office there is NEVER any pressure to trade. We
have a guy that makes one trade in the morning everyday and
then leaves to play golf....
