"Personally I believe religious education and sex education is the sole responsibility of the family".

Exactly. I would further say that the greatest individual successes in education I have encountered came from a home setting devoid of primitive notions of supernatural principalities involving themselves in human affairs. If nothing else, such beliefs seem to make it difficult for believers to internalize the understanding that others simply don't see it their way.

Here's an idea: We should require that all students pay silent homage to the belief that tuberculosis is caused by evil spirits from a parallel universe who can be driven away by buying the right BB trash stocks. I'm sure we can find someone who so passionately agrees with that statement that they not only believe that its promotion should be mandatory but that it will benefit all who accept it.
