I have the RIM 950 with Fidelity, I love it. I heard that laptop with a cell phone and cell modem don't come close to the speeds of a desktop with a land-line modem. A guy at my cell phone dealer said 14.4 max, and that's if you're lucky. Imagine all the noise and connection trouble and managing the thing with the wires to the cell phone and the configuration of the pc card and (data capable) cell phone and juggling it all and a case, and who knows how to set it all up?....Batteries, chargers, and you can't leave the laptop in your car in the summer or winter, lcd can freeze, crack, and it's over 1,000 for screen alone.... HTH. also, my RIM was free with a one year contract. takes one AA cell.
