Thuraya and Aces have a much better business plan for Asia and Africa and the Middle East. I can't see how Globalstar can compete with them in these markets. Which begs the question - if Globalstar has not found a Service Provider in many of these markets as yet, what is the compelling reason for someone to sign up now?

It is all about free markets. The sat services of Thuraya and Aces are controlled by government sponsored providers. Some might go as far as to say government sponsored monopolies. (since the US takes a dim view of those types of arrangements, many countries have wiggled around the issue by allowing (or even sponsoring to a tiny degree) a second outfit.)

Two of the best markets for G* (India and Indonesia) suffer from their respective governments best intentions and as a result no G*.

Bernie needs take a page from Dr. Jacob's play book.
