I am thoroughly convinced the act of presenting afterhours quotes on the servers was done to throw individual investors off and allow market makers and thieves like etrade even greater opportunities to bilk. Instead of having accurate information on the closing B/A, you now have completely useless numbers to look at. All to catch the unwitting who may fall for them. How can a stock trading with a 1/4 or 1/8 spread throughout the day realistically show up as closing with a 4 dollar spread? What is the value of even displaying numbers such as these? scottonstocks
