Personal Income for Jan. = +0.7% Spending = +0.5%
bea.doc.gov Personal income increased $58.6 billion, or 0.7 percent, and disposable personal income (DPI) increased $61.4 billion, or 0.9 percent, in January, according to the Commerce Department's Bureau of Economic Analysis. Personal consumption expenditures (PCE) increased $33.0 billion, or 0.5 percent. In December, personal income increased $21.0 billion, or 0.3 percent, DPI increased $10.0 billion, or 0.1 percent, and PCE increased $68.6 billion, or 1.1 percent, based on revised estimates. |
