Bob - Still his point is valid and it's one that I've tried to make on various occasions. Aber is planning to mine at the source of the Coppermine and it is therefore a different scenario than the normal mining situation. We've all heard about the disasters that have followed repeated assurances by companies that everything will be okay. Another example to add to Shunda, a creek that I'm personally familiar with, is the Athabasca river below the Daishowa pulp mill. The opponents were labelled "tree huggers" that were against all such ventures. The only problem is that they were right and now the dogs from the native camps won't even eat the pike from the river. I am not an environmental nutcase but I also think it unacceptable to explore for minerals in Banff or Yellowstone.
