Help for a newbie:

I own a bit of AXPL (200 shares)and am excited to see the positive results of the last surveys.

Could someone please explain the difference between the "float" and "outstanding" shares of a stock? I'm just getting into buying stocks and would like to educate myself. A small float sounds good if the stock price goes up - is that due to the small volume of shares available to buy?

I appreciate any and all help you or anyone else can give me.
