Richard Fascinating stuff. But, the ploy can only be worked on managements that lay down and die. As I pointed out in a prior post, when "investors" were driving down Computer Associates in league with brokers who were bad-mouthing the stock, the CEO held a press conference and blasted the brokers and the so-called "street." Right after he mouthed off, the stock went up 6 points. More importantly, I finally got to look at that amazing picture on page 5 of the annual report. WOW! My wife and I have several explanations, but airing them would get me thrown off SI. Burt
