SSL has developed a Smartphone IC platform based on the ARM920T, which enables Symbian ready wireless Internet devices. This will be the platform of choice for the next generation of devices running Symbian's EPOC operating system. The basic SmartPhone IC platform developed by SSL enables derivatives to be generated quickly for specific customer requirements. By combining this platform with other Wireless IP such as Bluetooth and GPS, considerable functionality can be added within very short design times.
