Called the number in the press release - 423-987-1477 to give my fax number for instructions related to the shareholders action committee. Got a message that the "party was busy" through the phone company, which if I understand it correctly, either (1) the voice mail box for this number is full, or (2) the phone line has too many people trying to get in at one time. I'm told (1) the most likely case by a family member who works for the local RBOC.
I will be adding my name to the list for action. I've read the legal doc twice, and things just don't add up. While particulars about completed bonds, etc are beyond available information, I was surprised by the fact that:
1. A judge from one county (not a state judge if I read the doc right) issued an order in another county in TN,
2. A judge was acting on what appears to be a claimed problem in other states (DE FL, etc),
3. Attorney generals and a state tax commissioner were acting on statements about "claims" in other states without indicating (or apparently, determining) whether the statements were accurate or germaine (I would have expected some indication of this, especially for a judge to issue such draconian/last resort orders. It makes me wonder how much of a good ol' boy network is going on in TN. I've seen it elsewhere, but (gooolllleeeeyyy) I didn't expect it again.)
4. Nowhere was a cease and desist order mentioned. C&Ds are normal first steps. Again, to issue a last resort doc like this retraining order and order of conservatorship is doesn't ring true.
I have deep suspicions of conspiracy. The good ol' boy network is alive and well, and well integrated into politics. I still sense an intelligent strategy behind this. And this is regardless of GIFS value, complexity, or sometimes questioned top management. Someone(s) is conducting a smart, well-planned vendetta.
