I'm not an expert on Canadian stocks, but one type news release that sends shivers down my spine:

Dow Jones, Feb. 16, 2000
That could be becasue news got out of the news release on Feb 28/00 or it can mean people running the stock. Lots of stocks running on the CDNX for NO REASON, and they have to issue the similar type of news release.
