Found on RB.. Janus Research = Exodus "It's what their business is about and how they do that business that our research focuses on and that reveals future growth.", states Jim Craig of Janus. "...Exodus can offer substantial savings to its clients, who, in turn, have a great incentive not to build it themselves. Although Exodus will eventually get competition, the market for its services is growing faster than that prospect." "The end result of our research not only landed Exodus in our portfolios, but it also netted a new customer for Exodus." "If I had to sum up the Janus position, it is that we don't go looking to buy stocks because they are cheap. Rather, we look for companies that have a successful business model. We aren't looking for quick hits, but for companies we feel comfortable investing in for a minimum of two years." IMHO, it is significant that Janus is long on Exodus. In the New Economy, two years is a real long time. Jim Craig, Chief Investment Officer and recently appointed Director of Research, was interviewed in the Spring 2000 issue of "On Investing".
