Foxy:

I too am waiting for the wave to crash on the sandy beaches of reality. The types of valuations seen in the "dot.come-on" arena don't make sense to a guy like me whose first job was on a pig farm in Nebraska at 14 years of age. No waves last forever. Corrected for inflation, the current abberation in oil prices will also not last forever. In the mean time, for those who think that the new economy is immune to the price of oil, inverted yield curves and other such factors, the wake up alarm will eventually ring and the current dream will end. Reality has a way of invoking itself whether we like it or not.

As for a book, the truth is I have actually been developing a head of steam to write. I look through book stores and see so much product on the shelves that I think "What's the point?" On the other hand, if a few people enjoy or learn from something I have put on paper, then I suppose there is a point. I keep getting feedback from friends and correspondents that I should put some of these stories on paper. People love to hear them... so they'd probably love to read them as well. In any case, if (perhaps I should say "when") I complete a finished product, you'll be in line for an autographed first edition in exchange for your encouragement.

So... back to oil and gas... which companies are you excited about these days?
