American Power Conversion to Support HP's PowerWise
UPS Customer Base

PALO ALTO, Calif., and WEST KINGSTON, R.I., April 30 /PRNewswire/ --
Hewlett-Packard Company (NYSE: HWP) and American Power Conversion
(APC)(Nasdaq: APCC) today announced the signing of a contract that will
provide ongoing warranty support for HP's installed base of HP PowerWise
uninterruptible power supply (UPS) customers. Effective May 1, APC will
provide UPS products and offer power-protection solutions for HP PowerWise
customers' future UPS installations. HP, which will no longer produce, supply
or support HP PowerWise products, still Produces other power-related products
as part of its complete computational solutions.
"HP PowerWise customers will be well-supported, thanks to APC's commitment
to offer complete support to our global customer base," said Gary Whitman,
marketing manager of HP's New Jersey Division. "APC has the technical
expertise necessary to support HP PowerWise products and customers,
and we are confident they will provide the quality of service our customers
are accustomed to."

and technical support for their installed systems. In North America, customers
may call 888-204-0173. Outside North America, customers may call
353-91-702000, extension 2012 (English), extension 2013 (French and Spanish)
and extension 2014 (German and Dutch).
