Please accept my apologies for questioning your motives, intellect, or character in my earlier response to your post 9511. I completely failed to notice your sentence, "I may not agree [with] this article". I have to admit, I'm not too keen about that "may", but I should not have assumed that you endorsed the contents of the statement from the Information Office of the State Council. The pronouncements of the State Council are legitimate items of interest on this thread, as they reflect the public position of the government of China.

In no way am I retracting my spirited rebuttal of what I consider the inanities and outright falsehoods in the declaration of the Information Office of the State Council. But I was out of line to hold you responsible for them.
