Store visit today to compare the goings on at AMES Natick. Merchandise is everything? You bet. People rushed in to buy and left quickly as they come. You don't buy it; it is gone. Grabbed a few things my self, such as some clothing at 75% additional discount. An air conditioner 5000 watts for $149.95 after rebate of $20. There is no question of loss leaders, and the word of mouth advertizing effects. The store is well stocked. Additional help were there to help senior citizens with furniture purchases to load in their cars. The "Safeway" strategy to revive their stores many years ago and achieved their 3% net earnings. The many new merchandising in the store this week, indicated the number of suppliers may have been increased. AMES is now an exciting store to visit and select bargains. Good luck to the management, bring in more customers, we are ready for some big time in retailing. Visit your nearby AMES store and compare my analysis?
