Bond strategies (Short term? Fed/state Tax free?)
I have pulled out of the market.
I have several 100k that I want to put aside.
At this level, even 1% can make a significant difference.
Therefore, I want one step above money market/CD.

I dont want bonds w/ TOO much risk.
It seems with the inverted yield, and threatened rate increases,
short term bonds are the only way to go.
(eg: 30 years are down 20% YTD!)

What do you suggest?
A bond fund? Stay w/ short term?

Also, what about tax free bonds? Like buying a utility bond that is fed and state tax free. With a 33-36% tax bracket, that can result in an additional 3-4% points!!

Please state any tickers of bond funds you may suggest

Thanks a ton!
