Jack-there are huge areas of this planet that have no cellular coverage, and never will. But there are people in those areas that will pay to use the Globalstar system. This may allow whole areas of the globe to make a small step into the first world. And we are not just talking about the third world, many places where people have money, there is little access to phones....Mexico, Phillipines, etc. And they represent one type of user...also...truckers, boaters, oil field and platform workers, travelers, etc. Globalstar has stated that they need only one million subscribers worldwide to be profitable.

Also, Qualcomm has been testing their HDR CDMA modems in tandem with Globalstar for high speed data transmission.

I have been a long term holder in GSTRF & Loral, both have been trying holds, but I still believe they have huge profit potential.
