Hmm, that's a bit strange--the Investment Bank/Palm Management Road Show is usually done before an IPO, to attempt to "sell" the issue to prospective mutual fund managers, large institutional investors, and other investment banks. I'm sure someone misspoke and meant to say the weeks before the IPO is when the road-show occurs.

The road show is where initial "orders" for Palm take place, and then that info is taken back to Palm Management (Goldman will say we're 4x oversubscribed, why don't we raise the range) until they agree on a price. Right now, Goldman is busy receiving orders from those big boys and re-evaluating demand for the issue, and will meet with Palm Management on Wed. evening to finalize the public offering price.

Usually the road show is just a regurgitation of the prospectus in a "touchy-feelly" fashion. Webvan, I believe, got into trouble when they let too much out during their road show.

Mang, I do enjoy your calculator--it makes my eyes real wide when I start putting numbers like Mr.CNN at $300...
