Analyst McAteer said that the standard would not find a lot of equipment to operate in immediately. "You would have to aggregate a lot of CDMA channels," he said. "You're not going to get five megabits per second on a single device anytime soon."

So what does this mean? HDR provides 2.4 megabits/sec on 1.25Mz of channel. Is McAteer saying more than 1.25Mz is required for 1Xplus's 5 megabits/sec? IMO, speed per unit of bandwidth is what needs to be looked at.
