Jazz, I am also searching for more clarification on this. Since Motorola would not confirm that this would not end royalty payments to Qcom, it might just be that this is indeed an "upgrade" on 1XRTT. Could this be the case? And why this sudden turn of events 2 weeks after IJ mentioned in the Analyst meeting that Motorola is now Qcom's biggest Asics customer?
It would be interesting to see an in depth discussion of this issue.
