MikeB- Your cut&pasted comments are related to the old Java model. That didn't concern me nearly as much as the new Java model. The new Java model, a la Oracle 8i for example, is processed on the server. Not the client. The new Java example can scale to tens of thousands of clients. MetaFrame is good, but can't scale that big.

Don't ask me for details, because I'm not up to speed. But all the excellent discussions are upstream. What...about six or nine months ago? All I recall was that Oracle was trading at $12/share when their new Java model came out. Today, Oracle at $75/share, is what the market thinks about their ability to execute that new Java model. With all the work I did, I called it wrong and bailed because I didn't think Oracle would execute. Was I ever wrong.

BUT as we discussed upstream, it was hard to understand how CTXS fit into the Java model. Something I still struggle with today. I did call IR back then and got some information faxed to me, but never had the time to do a post about their relationship. Apparently they(Java and ICA) can co-exsist. Maybe even something more. -MikeM(From Florida)
