Michael, He, indeed, began a program that stopped automatic promotions, and insisted that performance testing be done on both students and teachers. One on the thread said that he lowered the standards, but, that is not true. Some school districts tried to falsify the test results, but did not know that all schools were being watched to prevent this very thing, and they were caught, retested, and some officials fired. The test results have been on a steady rise ever since this began.
We also have nearly eliminated food stamp fraud by the issuance of vouchers which can be more controlled. Our highways are in a constant state of improvement. There are about 6 projects underway in Harris County, alone. The same is happening all over the state. The highway patrol has been ordered to watch the highways for dangerous semis which have killed a number of people lately. There are other improvements since Ann Richards but, would take too long to list. All of these improvements with an almost unknown surplus, and no tax hike. Just imagine what he can do as POTUS. ~H~ |
