From todays NEWS RELEASE: "We've gotten a tremendous response from our viewers for the previous HyperTV events we
offered with our James Bond festival and the Bob Marley tribute, and we want to build upon
that convergence audience," said Blake Lewin, Vice President, Turner Entertainment Online.
"The Sixth Annual SAG Awards lends itself very well to HyperTV's unique ability to provide our
viewers with an enhanced TV experience which extends our television broadcast to an online
community. Viewers will receive a steady stream of web information related to this live event in
real time, while being able to interact with one another throughout the program."
The online HyperTV content will include additional information about the nominated actors and
films, fun facts about the presenters and categories, and interactive movie trivia, among other
features. For example, one interactive game, "Six Degrees of Whoopi," will challenge viewers
to discover how nominees are related in some way to Whoopi Goldberg. Ms. Goldberg will
open The Sixth Annual SAG Awards. TNT's HyperTV viewers will also be able to "chat" live in
real-time with other movie fans participating in the TV/Web convergence experience
nationwide.
