PORTLAND, Ore.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 1, 2000-- PrintBid.com, the leading online buying exchange for customized print jobs, offered by ImageX.com (Nasdaq:IMGX - news), announced today that Hewlett-Packard Company has joined PrintBid.com's extensive database of domestic and international printers with the addition of more than 1,000 HP Certified Print Centers (CPCs).

The addition of the HP CPCs now gives PrintBid.com one of the largest groups of commercial for printers available to print buyers on the Internet.

PrintBid.com's online buying exchange streamlines the bidding and print process for both buyers and sellers. Currently, more than 3,800 print buyers, from various industries, can select from over 4,000 print vendors available within PrintBid.com's service that meet their unique printing needs, resulting in a ``short list' of ideally suited potential vendors for any given project. The qualified printing vendors are then given the opportunity to bid on these unique projects, ranging from large format graphics to catalogs to books. This web-enabled process results in new relationships for printing vendors and savings of as much as 50 percent for buyers of commercial printing.

The HP CPC program consists of qualified large-format print service providers that operate HP DesignJet CP Series printers for the preparation of affordable, quality print materials. The program is dedicated to increasing the awareness and potential audience for this unique printing format.

``HP is committed to expanding the market for large-format printing through the Internet and our network of print service providers,' said Ana Izquierdo, business development manager for HP. ``PrintBid.com's ability to match a large market of print buyers to participating printers gives HP CPCs more exposure and a way to grow their businesses via the Internet.'

``The addition of the HP-certified printers to the PrintBid.com network strengthens the offering to our print buyers nationwide,' says Ron Weiner, PrintBid.com's President and founder. ``This allows buyers to find the best printer for their requirements and get their projects printed where they need it, when they need it, and how they need it. This alliance brings value to all members of the print supply chain.'
