It correctly reports that www.microsoft.com is running IIS on W2K - also that compaq.com is IIS on W2K. Netcraft itself is IIS on w2K - so much for the conspiracy theory.

BTW the recent "denial of service" attacks were almost exclusively against Solaris sites. The same attacks against microsoft.com had little effect... but then I have not been impressed by Solaris as a front end machine for web servers. Both Linux and W2K have better performance (at a much lower cost) and security is better on W2K.
