Racey_Gracey, your statement below is the exact reason why I am strongly in favor of separation of church and state.

However, the press crucifies the Christians on a regular basis, when they support political positions

As a Christian, I don't go to church for political reasons. And I think many of the stereotypes of Christians, are caused by the ones who get into the political arena.
