John, <<< Niles is seldom wrong about Intel fundamentals.>>>

Maria just interview Dan Niles on CNBC WRT his company's tech conference going in San Francisco right now. He was very bullish on Micron (they reported supply going up 60% and demand up 80% and recently saw an influx of orders from PC company's driving DRAM prices up 25%), Dell, and he reiterated upgrade of Intel. These are currently his favorite stocks.

When asked about Gateway, he recounted how they reported sluggish demand several back but are now reporting seeing increased demand from Corporate sales and company now expect to meet earnings expectation.

All in all he was very bullish on semiconductors and PC's.

CNBC also reported that Intel is teaming up US West to provide homes with two or more computers DSL service and file/printer sharing capabilities.
