<<SG Cowen said on Wednesday analyst
Drew Brosseau raised his price target on Veritas Software Corp.
(NasdaqNM:VRTS - news) to $275 from $200.>>

I would love to know how Cowen justifies a $62 billion valuation for a company with under $1 bil in revenues. If Veritas is the next Microsoft (a monopoly run by the world's greatest monopolist, benefits from errors sililar to IBM's and Apple's and feeds off one of the greatest growth cycles in history-the PC) then perhaps it could have a $300 bil market cap in 20 years like MSFT did in their first 11 years public. And, if all these stars line up right, investors will get a six bagger over 20 years. Way less than than Veritas owners got this year. -Z
