*OT* I make my calls in numerous arenas and SI, and my board are not the only places. I am a person of many names. <ggg> i.e. investorsalley.com The Technical Talk column is another one.
This thread is for market direction per your own guidelines so no, I do not post stocks to play here. My/Don's site is for trading a specific Mutual Fund now so I don't post my plays there either.
My PMs to you were in private, trying to tell you why people were confused at your calls and as I said in those PMs were not meant to poke fun, ridicule or anything else but help as to where the misunderstanding was coming from. Yes, lately they are better but in the past you have in fact many times said "this is interesting", then posted a link to a chart and when looked at, nothing was at support, nor resistance, your indicators were at mid level and when asked REPEATEDLY by numerous people if you were bullish or bearish, ducked the question and kept saying it is in the chart. Once asked more than once, someone bright enough to be up 400% in two months would get the idea that maybe SOME people need more of an explanation.
I started posting here again because you stated you were not the one that turned Don and I in for posting links to our site. We believed you since you have never, as far as we can tell, told a lie to either of us. It was quite a coincidence though that the day I announced on my site that Don would be joining in your attitude towards me changed on this board. Then after I repeatedly had posted links to my site in the past with no problems, the Day Don showed up and started contributing to our site, we both get turned in for posting the same link. Thus the suspicion on my part that you may have been behind it.
I could care less what you post, say, or think in regards to me. I do value your inputs and your thread. Do I trade as much as you, heck no, I work all day, and my shifts are sometimes 12 hours or more long. Add sucking air through a Gas Mask for 14 hours on occasion and see if you are in the mood to try and make market calls. I also at times do not know where the market is going and also keep in mind that for every poster here that has traded the market for 10 years or more, there are 100 lurkers that may be trading for the first time. When I make a prediction, I want it to be darn accurate or else I don't call it.
As for our bulleten board doing poorly. I think not. I am quite happy with how things are going for the long haul. As one of the regular visitors has stated many times to me, you can lead a horse to water but .... We have a core and we will get more in time. I am not home to post during the day so I obviously don't have the exposure you do nor the time to try and build it too much at this point. Once I retire from the military, then I will pursue things a bit more aggressively.
If you want to pursue this further, I suggest we take it to PM otherwise, I say we call it off now! As usual, I don't have time for this. Besides, I wasn't necessarily aiming at you although part of it could apply. OJ saying that P&F was the way to ALWAYS be on the right side spurred it more IMO. The last 3 weeks they have received short term buys at the exact tops, Sells at the exact bottoms and yesterday had 2/3 of the short term signals short and the NYSEBP holding one point over a sell signal. HArdly a clear upside signal if you ask me. I trade a 3-5 day window so P&F would have me losing my shirt!!! As I stated, no system is working well right now that I see. Mine is OK in some sectors and getting false buys in others that result in only intra day plays versus the usual 3-5 day patterns they are supposed to be. I am not faulting any system in this market environment, more a touting of a system to be infallable when in fact it appears to be failing along with all the rest.
