I am looking for information on capital gains tax exemptions. Now I know that the old lifetime 1/2 million capital gains exemption disappeared years ago. However, it apparently is still around for investments in certain Canadian small businesses.

I have searched around the net and found that this does seem to be the case but, unfortunately, I couldn't find information regarding which such investments qualify.

Any information on the rules of the game would be gratefully received. I apologize if this question has already been done to death here.
