A good policy for those liberally minded wealthy class. As to common folks, I doubt it will mean more than price. In addition, it may cause independently minded folks to boycot DeBeers due to its continued support of dictatorships. In any event, seems to me that natural diamonds will be a footnote in history as the popularity of inexpensive, large manufactured diamonds becomes more and more popular replacing the expensive natural ones. Same thing happened with silverware. Who uses them anymore? De Beers has a chalenging future ahead.
