I read the article. It's the old news about CE again. And 250 design wins. I'd like to see what products or components are in this list. Probably the typical large footprint CE stuff. Anyway, we can expect such things given their hugh marketshare of OS - the world is a big place and the market in my opinion is expanding rapidly due to 1) need to jettison "roll your own" RTOS with the rise of net connectivity 2) the explosion of new products/designs to take advantage of the internet. Sincerely, Ben P.S. if I recall, embedded CE is not a RTOS. Also, MSFT changed the name for marketing reasons, didn't they?
