Don: By one definition, a liberal is a carryover from feudal
days, wherein the social order is to be divided into roughly
two secular classes, nobles(in this case, those who know
better) and serfs(those who don't know what is good for
them).

A second definition speaks of a liberal as one who is fully
prepared to remove the contents of my pocket and that of
my neighbor's in order to finance a redistributionist scheme
which will create and maintain perennially dependent classes
of voters who will thence guarantee that liberal's ascendancy
and perpetuation of his/her power.
