John, TDK has established distribution channels for media. They will
provide greater access to the Zip cartridges. Think about all of the
locations that carry TDK video tapes. Record stores, supermarkets,
five and dime shops. If the Zip disk is available at these stores,
it will mean that much more visibility for Iomega's Zip. Iomega can now
concentrate on marketing the Razor and TDK can concentrate on marketing
the blade. I think it will sound alot better for Iomega to announce they
have signed a contract with Micron, IBM, Packard Bell, NEC, HP, and Gateway
to sell the Zip than it will sound for them to announce they signed a
contract with Safeway to provide shelf space for the Zip disk. IMHO.
