Permit Process Underway for Phase II

Drilling at Pan Gold Deposit

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SPOKANE, WA, March 2, 2000; Latitude Minerals Corp. (LTU.CDNX) is pleased to announce it has made application for permits necessary to conduct a Phase II drilling Program at its Pan Gold Project located at the Southeast portion of the Battle Mountain-Eureka Gold Trend in White Pine County, Nevada. The Phase II Program will consist of 23 holes (8,000 feet) drilled to test several high-grade Northeast trending cross structures identified during the Phase I Program. Drilling will also test continuity and step-out potential along the 3.5 mile long mineralized gold system. Upon securing permits from the BLM (Bureau of Land Management), hole locations will be surveyed and access roads and pads will be prepared. Exploration drilling is anticipated to commence after the third week of March. Furthermore, Latitudeûs Joint Venture partner, N.A. Degerstrom has requested that 3 "condemnation" holes be drilled in order to determine an area suitable for future mining infrastructure. Condemnation holes are drilled outside the existing orebody in order to find a suitable area that does not contain any underlying mineralization.

During Latitudeûs 1999 drill program, hole 416 at the Middle Pan target produced a 50 ft mineralized intercept that started at surface. The company considers hole 416 to be a discovery hole and has slated 5 new step-out holes of drilling at Middle Pan to determine if a new orebody is present. Upon completion of a successful program, the Company will aggressively pursue targets defined at Pilot Ridge and Middle Pan during the next round of drilling which is slated for Summer 2000.
