Agreed with what you say, but I don't see a parallel with PSII and the events you listed.
First of all SONY, compared to INTC is a true professional.
INTC is merely large and extremely arrogant in their attitude.
All the events you listed were a) induced by INTC, b) inflamed by their incompetent marketing, and c) made worse by their inept press dept. Or would you disagree with any of that?
Sony we are told has orders for 72kk boxes (It makes no difference if the number is 2kk, 22kk or 72kk, no one can prove any different) Fact is however, they will get huge press coverage and all the hype you can wish for on Monday, BEFORE the market opens.
Expect a gap upon Monday. When you decide to sell is your decision,
as the next major happenings on the event horizon is MU manufacturing start up, and Williamette. I don`t know in which order. I do expect new coverages on RMBS following the SONY hype,and also after they trash the next qtr results. If SONY is correct in their 72kk presales, then this is a given.
I am surprised that not more importance was attached to the rdram CSP package announcement last week. THis alone will accelerate the price decrease substantially IMHO
