If you have been around that long I'm surprised that you don't Know.
NWT Diamond Pipes are mostly under lakes they have at least 50 Meters of Overburden in those lakes before they get to the pipes.
NWT Diamond Pipes Are very expensive to get into production.

Cold Weather
No Roads Up there
No Fuel Suppy Trucked from Yellowknife
Granite ROCK(Harder than steel)
Everything must be Trucked Up there(Big Costs)
Costs are 50 to 75US Dollars per ton
Sgf has 35 to 50 meters of Overburden mostly Sand as Fort-La -Corne is mostly all sand on Top.
Roads and Power & Water is right there no costs to develop.
10 to 15US Dollars for SGF
