Where have you been?

Microsoft's OS already runs on Itanium, they will ship together - don't even give that a second thought. The development began before first silicon and was booting in a week - remember?

As for IA-32 code will suck on IA-64, who gives a damn!!! No one in there right mind would buy an IA-64 to run 32 bit code, it's a server not a gamers toy. Microsoft will have all the back office components recompiled and ready to go.
