The ecommerce plan consists of the following elements: The near-term introduction of an "add-on" shopping cart software solution for HyperMart member businesses that will allow them to commerce enable their existing sites, and accept real-time credit card payment. The introduction of a turnkey storefront software solution that will allow HyperMart member businesses to easily create professional looking online stores via their Web browser. Without installing any proprietary software, a wizard-driven creation process will allow novices to quickly generate their store, while more sophisticated users may use a wide-variety of popular Web authoring tools. Features will include administrative and inventory management services to help merchants effectively track product performance. All transaction-enabled HyperMart businesses will be searchable by product from HyperMart's Business Directory page. The launch of a sophisticated catalog of merchants consisting of HyperMart member businesses and select vendor partners, which will be searchable by both product and vendor. This catalog will include a "universal shopping cart" that will streamline the buying process for HyperMart and Go2Net purchasers. The introduction of a broad-based auction area for both business-to-business and business-to-consumer transactions that will draw upon HyperMart member businesses, select vendor partners and the growing Go2Net Network user base. The objective for the HyperMart auction area is for it to become a product-rich, highly trafficked shopping destination with state-of-the-art Web shopping technologies.
