Alex--

Not to be a party pooper, but I find that trading on pure technicals usually works. MY problem is getting involved with "Story Stocks".

Example: if you'd been doing candles, and only candles, you'd have bought OEX calls on the close Monday. (The MSH was looking good, too, but not quite as good as the OEX.) You would NOT have feared Tuesday morning's release of the ECI, because as a technical trader you wouldn't sweat that stuff. You would have had a DAMN nice day yesterday, but you wouldn't have closed the position, no no, not after that Long White you wouldn't have. This morning you'd have laughed at the scary GDP numbers, and still not sold. And you'd have been ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. And you wouldn't have sold on today's close either: now we've got Three White Soldiers, and they're pretty cool. BUT now you'd be careful, and watch VERY closely tomorrow morning...

Needless to say I didn't do this. But by God I wish I had...

Next time I'll tell you about the Bradley Siderograph...

Janice
