Club memebership is free, you will need to join in order to post messages. Please take the time to do your reading, asking somebody to explain this company and it's products is a laborious task. Almost everybody would be happy to address specific questions after you are informed.
In one sentence, SEPR has learned how to extract and deliver the better of the two isomers from known and FDA approved drugs, which results in at least depression of side effects and sometimes enhancement of the benefit as well. The US PTO has granted them many patents, and SEPR have two already in the market place with several to come. SEPR has an improvement patented on the very best of the antihistamine and anti-depressant block buster drugs. Simliar work is underway in other areas.
Within the club are two important resources for you education. There is a library of 30 some useful links, contained within that libary are several links to the company website, which is also important reading. Look for the C&EN article of a couple of years back if you are inclined to understand the chemistry involve.
Secondly if you click on the founders page you are taken to an area where the founder (I Jim Frankel) has archived posts which he felt was important to preserve. He has put a category code on what he archived. Unfortunately one seriously lacking feature of the club setup is a search routine. One of the last last links, about #31 gives you the link to SEPR's presentation page. This page will show you the latest 30+ slides the company is presenting to investment houses.
If you should do a US or EUR patent review looking for hits on Sepracor assigned, would you mind taking the time to post on YC the current count of patents that you find and list the title and links to the grants from the last 12 months. I believe we are current for US patent count, but the international count rarely gets mention in the US business press.
