Joe, >The lack of Windows 2000 for Itanium will probably sink Itanium, because it will be beaten by Celeron in execution of 32 bit applications. Microsoft has announced that Windows 2000 will "be there" when Itanium systems ship. This came out within the last month, although they never said it wouldn't be there prior to the announcement.
