has stated that the ipo date is the record date for
receiving palm shares in about six months.

That's what the SEC filing says as well.

If the record date was today, then tomorrow COMS will fall, going down to about $30, and you won't get your PALM shares for another 6 months. For all of us on margin it's no wonder we sold off today.
