Mhattrik, thanks again for cross-posting the SI item on TLAB's optical research team having turned over, per George Gilder's information. I emailed Tom Scottino at TLAB IR with the following, yesterday:

"Dear Mr. Scottino:

Apparently the well-known technology commentator George Gilder wrote in a post to the Silicon Investor website that the top personnel who came over from IBM to head Tellabs' optical research team, led by Dr. Paul Green, had left the company.

Could you please confirm whether this is true, and provide a brief (open information) update on the status of the optical research team and its personnel?

Thanks for your help."

This morning I received the following reply:

"I believe one or two members of the original team have left to pursue other opportunities. Dr. Green is not one of them.
