Re WIND--Value chain gorilla example

I would say that EST was part of WIND's value chain. They wrote software and developed products using WIND's tools. With WIND's purchase of another company EST suddenly found themselves in a potentially competitive situation.

And, yes you're right. Seeing the competitive situation EST did throw in the towel/raise the white flag/called uncle (or some other colorful phrase--but we don't want to mix our metaphors! :o)

Unfortunately it's combined with disappointing earnings--which may provide a buying opportunity, folks!
